Useful Places to Set a Corner Wardrobe

Most people think that wardrobes should be in bedrooms. That is true, of course. A bedroom without a wardrobe is not highly functional. If you have a small bedroom where space is limited or if you want to maximize the area of your bedroom for other things, aside from sleeping and dressing a corner wardrobe is a great addition.  However, there are other places where a small corner wardrobe fits perfectly and is highly useful.

If you have an area set aside in your home for storage, you may find the corner wardrobe a very useful addition. It can be used for storing all of the things that you want out of sight yet still need to be neatly organized. You can use it to hang winter coats during the summer, gardening clothes, extra linen and bed covers, pillows or even sports equipment such as hockey sticks or badminton rackets.  Usually storage areas are quite small which is why a corner wardrobe, taking up little space, is perfect.

Laundry areas are also often in need of storage space. They tend to become messy fairly quickly, especially if you have a family.  If you have a corner wardrobe in your laundry room you can easily store all of the laundry supplies such as laundry soap, bleach bottles, softener, stain remover or dryer sheets. Most corner wardrobes have shelves which are perfect for storing these items. The hang up space can be used for spare coat hangers, clothes bags, and unclaimed clean laundry. You can often put your extra laundry baskets inside the wardrobe also. The great thing about a wardrobe is that it has space length-wise for things that would not fit in drawers or smaller cupboards and you can close the doors to the wardrobe and keep everything neatly out of sight.

They are also often helpful to have just inside the back door. There they can keep raincoats, coats, umbrellas, boots, shoe shining items and even the basketball. Adding a small bench beside the wardrobe makes it possible to sit down and put on shoes or boots before going outside. Adding a small laundry basket on the inside of the wardrobe is helpful for collecting socks and other miscellaneous items that need laundering.

A built in corner wardrobe is usually small and unobtrusive. It can be tucked away neatly in the corner of almost any room and not look out of place.
