Timely Information about the Oversized Wall Clock
Author: admin // Category: Home ElectronicsDuring the first half of 2010, publishers of the Restoration Hardware Catalogue chose to use an oversized wall clock in several of their publications. That huge timepiece, which was also a convex mirror, hung on the wall of a huge dining area. The presence of green foliage beyond a pair of French doors hinted that the dining area was part of a dwelling that could be a summer house.
Each publication that contained a clear picture of the mirror/clock also captured a shot of a reflection. That was a reflection of the same extra large timepiece. That reflection appeared in the glass surrounded by a wooden frame, a frame composed of kiln dried timber.
That large rectangular mirror was hanging on the wall behind a large English roll arm sofa. The reflection of the mirror/clock seemed to fade into the background, behind the image of a table, chairs and large pendants lights. That reflection failed to reveal the enormous length of the table. It also deprived anyone who cared to take a look of a chance to see evidence of the summer foliage.
The RH publication did offer a few printed details about the vintage piece on the wall, the one that could keep track of the time. According to the white print on the published picture, that vintage item was a reproduction of a noteworthy, wall-hanging timepiece. Skilled hands had crafted that huge hanging item. Its aged bronzed-iron frame resembled the metal in the Roman numerals, the numerals on the clock’s face.
Due to the way that light played on the curved shape of the clock/mirror, it was easy to see why that item would be the perfect wall hanging for a spot where one’s family might vacation. One could easily while away a good bit of time, just studying the reflection in that outwardly curving surface.
