There are indeed a wide variety of pine coffee tables from which you can choose, each one catering to different tastes and different living room décor. The particular kind of solid pine coffee table that I wish to explore in this article is one from ancient China.

I agree that all coffee tables are designed to allow you to place various items on top such as snacks, drinks (using coasters of course), magazines, your favorite tv guide and remote controls for your television and any other peripherals. Aside from this common functionality, it is the design style that uniquely identifies the table and hence the feel of the living room itself.

Over the weekend, I came across a pine coffee table that really caught my attention. It had distinctive cabriole legs which were carved by hand with incredible detail. If you don’t know about cabriole legs, allow me to explain. They are shaped like the letter ‘S’ with the upper curve bending outwards and the lower curve bending inwards. The table was rectangular in shape and the color, although not as dark as oak or mahogany coffee tables, still gave a warm feel.

Probably the only downside with that table I saw was that it didn’t have any drawers. For some people, this feature can be critical. If you prefer to keep a clean and tidy look for the surface on the table top, then you might feel reluctant to consider the table I’m describing. Personally, I usually don’t have much stuff anyway to keep on the table, so I’m not fussed about the presence of drawers.

One practical aspect you might want to keep mindful on is the shape of the table. As I’ve mentioned before, the table I saw is rectangular, so this may not be suitable for your living room. Instead, you might need to look into other shaped coffee tables such as square coffee tables for instance.
