Next, you will want to build the legs for the bed. You can use 4 by 4 posts for the legs or you can craft them out of lumber that you can purchase from your local hardware store. You will want to put one leg in each corner of the bed in a rectangular shape. You may want to add some extra support for the legs.
The next step that you will want to take is to build the platform that will hold the bed. You will want to measure the wood that you are using so that it is seventy nine inches long by thirty nine inches wide. Then you will attach the legs to the corners of the platform.
The last step for building a twin bed is to build a headboard. You can build one in the shape of a rectangle or get as fancy as you would like. This is the steps that you will follow if you want to add a twin bed to your home without having to spend a lot of money.
